Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
